A small engine with typical German styling, but made in the Czech Republic.
The horizontal boiler is fired by solid fuel tablets. It is 52mm diam x 130mm long. It has a sight glass at one end, a safety valve and whistle on the top. There is a dummy chimney mounted on the firebox.
Steam feed is from the bottom of the boiler but without superheating. Steam is fed directly to the steam chest, with no lubrication or regulation. The cylinder is double acting with a slip-eccentric piston valve. It is approx 8mm bore x 15mm stroke. The crankshaft has a 67mm alloy spoked flywheel and a 17.5mm pulley on the far end.
As received, it was in cosmetically good condition. However, the safety valve was seized and there appears to be traces of de-zincification on the boiler end. I have freed the safety valve. Testing on steam reveals that the whistle valve leaks badly - to such an extent that it whistles better with the valve closed than open!
